At Hernest, the dimension and weight of your online purchase are factors that help determine the most efficient delivery method. When you check out your order, we will display the delviery services available for the product.
Important Update: Shipping Policy Adjustment & Discount Event on Shipping
For years, Free shipping has been our way of saying "thank you" for choosing us. However, over the past 12 months, global shipping costs have surged, driven by fuel surcharges and new customs rules. Oversized items like furniture have been particularly affected. We've absorbed these increases as long as we could, but our current free-shipping model is no longer sustainable. Starting Oct 30, 2025, we'll charge clear, tiered, and flat fees per shipping service level, with no arbitrary costs. This isn't a price increase; it's for reliable delivery and better on-site care. To express our gratitude for your support and ensure a smooth experience, we're launching a Shipping Discount Event: A shipping discount on each shipping service level until December 31, 2025. Your understanding is our greatest support for continuing to move forward. For more details, please see the information on different shipping methods below.

Standard Delivery
The Standard Delivery fee is a flat rate of $49 per order. ltems will be delivered to your front door via courier (such as UPS or FedEx) , no signature required. These items may require assembly by yourself. We will notify you as soon as the order ships. Please be sure to monitor your emails and the tracking of the package to ensure you can receive the delivery.
Doorstep Delivery
The Doorstep Delivery fee is a flat rate of $99 per order. Items will be delivered in their original packaging and we will place them on the ground floor, lobby or first dry area (such as garage, front porch, lobby, etc.) of your home. For apartment buildings, the items will be placed outside your unit, in the building's lobby, or at the property's office. An individual 18 years of age or older must be present to accept and sign, which acknowledges you received the items, inspected them, and found them in good condition. This service does not include assembly, setup, or removal of packing materials. To prepare for your delivery, please review our pre-delivery tips. The driver will contact you prior to the delivery to confirm the time that works best for you.
Please note that it is your responsibility to bring the furniture inside from the drop off area. You will also be responsible for furniture assembly, furniture set up, unboxing and removal of all packaging materials. Any damage that results from moving the furniture into the home or assembling the furniture will also be your responsibility.
In-Home Delivery
The In-Home Delivery fee is a flat rate of $199 per order. Items will be delivered to the room of your choice and assembled as needed. Packing materials will be removed. The delivery team will not move or take away existing furniture. To prepare for your delivery, please review our pre-delivery tips. The driver will contact you prior to the delivery to confirm the time that works best for you.
Please arrange for an adult to be present when the truck arrives. An individual 18 years of age or older must be present to accept and sign, which acknowledges you received the items, inspected them, and found them in good condition. If you need to reschedule or cancel the current delivery date, you may incur an additional fee if we are unable to reach you or no one is home when the delivery team arrives.
Should you need to request a return after the delivery and assembly service has been completed, please note that the original packaging must be intact and provided for the return. Additionally, the $199 In-Home Delivery service fee is non-refundable once the service has been performed.
Note that the flat fee does not incur any additional charges. In-home delivery may not be available for all items or purchases.
Combined Delivery
Items requiring different delivery services will incur a separate fee for each service used. You will not be double-charged for the same service.
COI
COI is a common insurance requirement for delivery or moving in American apartments. Especially when you need to enter the building or use the elevator, whether COI is required depends on the specific regulations of the apartment. It is recommended that you:
Contact the property management to confirm whether COI is required and the specific requirements.
Provide the COI document of the apartment. We will communicate with the carrier and provide the corresponding COI as soon as possible, which usually takes 3 working days
*Some carriers may charge for providing a COI. These fees vary based on the carrier's quotation and are the responsibility of the customer.
Delayed Shipment
To request a delay in the shipment of your order, you must formally contact Hernest Customer Service at service@hernest.com or 877-308-0527 prior to your order entering the fulfillment process. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, any request is subject to approval and not guaranteed.
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to customer unavailability, an incorrect address provided by the customer, or a failure to retrieve the package from a carrier facility within the allotted time frame, the resulting packages may be returned to a local depot incurring storage fees. Subsequent re-delivery attempts will be subject to redelivery fees and/or storage fees.
All additional fees assessed by the shipping carrier for storage, redelivery, or address correction will be the sole financial responsibility of the customer. These fees will be calculated based on the actual charges incurred by Hernest.

Since we are closed on Sundays, any orders placed on that day (if the products are in stock) will be shipped out gradually starting on the next business day, Monday. Thank you.
Shipping Limitations
We reserve the right to decline delivery to specific locations for items that we consider to be at high risk of loss or damage, as well as locations that are inaccessible for our home delivery services. Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO boxes or Parcel Lockers as they are typically not suitable for accepting most of the items we sell. Thank you for your understanding.
