This Limited Warranty reflects that commitment and supports the quality standards behind every piece we make.
Hernest warrants that furniture purchased directly from hernest.com is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for the warranty periods set out below, starting from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.
Scope & Eligibility
Who is covered
This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original retail purchaser of the product purchased directly from hernest.com.
What is covered
This Limited Warranty applies to eligible Hernest indoor residential furniture and designated outdoor furniture sold through hernest.com, including sofas, sectionals, accent chairs, ottomans, dining chairs, sofa beds, beds, tables, desks, cabinets, storage furniture, bookcases, shelving, vanities, dressers, nightstands, rugs, mats, and lighting.
What is not covered by this warranty
- Clearance, final sale, “as-is,” or display items sold without warranty.
- Accessories, décor items, and third-party products unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Products not purchased directly from hernest.com.
- Products used in commercial, rental, hospitality, office, institutional, or other non-residential settings.
- Damage resulting from unauthorized modification, repair, or reassembly.
When coverage begins
Warranty coverage begins on the date the product is delivered to the original purchaser.
Warranty Periods by Component
In short: Hernest provides 3 to 5 years of coverage on all major furniture pieces, and 1 year on Home Decor (lighting, rugs, mats, and other decorative accessories) — because furniture built for real life should be backed for real life.
What This Warranty Covers
Subject to the exclusions below, this Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, including:
- Structural failures of frames, legs, or internal support structures
- Failure of spring or suspension systems not caused by abuse or overloading
- Abnormal cracking, peeling, blistering, or separation of finishes within the warranty period
- Mechanical component failures (drawer glides, hinges, motion parts, gas lift mechanisms) that prevent normal function
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Normal wear and tear Natural softening and compression of cushions; minor surface scratches, scuffs, and marks from everyday use; gradual changes in sheen or patina consistent with aging.
- Appearance changes from use or environment Fabric pilling, wrinkling, or stretching; fading or discoloration from sunlight or artificial light; natural color and grain variations in wood, stone, leather, or other natural materials.
- Accidental damage and misuse Stains, spills, burns, cuts, and soiling; pet scratching, chewing, or soiling; damage from improper cleaning products or methods; damage from abuse, neglect, improper assembly, standing or jumping on furniture, dragging, or overloading surfaces and drawers.
- Environmental and situational damage Warping, cracking, or splitting from extreme temperatures, humidity, or proximity to heat sources (radiators, fireplaces, HVAC vents); damage from prolonged direct sunlight exposure.
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs Damage from modifications, re-upholstery, or repairs carried out by non-authorized service providers; damage from disassembly, relocation, or reassembly not performed per Hernest guidelines.
- Non-residential use Products used in commercial, rental, institutional, or hospitality settings unless covered by a separate written commercial warranty.
How to Make a Warranty Claim

- Provide the following
- Order number and proof of purchase
- Your name, contact information, and delivery address
- A clear description of the issue and when it was first noticed
- Photos and/or video showing the product overall and the specific defect
- We evaluateHernest may request additional information or an inspection to determine whether the reported issue is a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty. Hernest's determination of warranty coverage is final.
- We resolveIf a covered defect is confirmed, Hernest will try our best to provide the best solutions.
- Remedy: Hernest will provide replacement parts or a reasonably equivalent furniture item for any product defects. If the original item is unavailable, a substitute of comparable value and style will be provided. An identical replacement is not guaranteed.
- No Cash Refund: Cash refunds are not offered under this warranty.
Limitation of Liability
Hernest's liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the furniture. Liability for incidental or consequential damages is excluded, where permitted by state law.
Proof of Purchase: Required for any exchange or warranty service.
Warranty Period for Replaced/Repaired Items: Any item repaired or replaced will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period only.
